Valley Wood Fuels
Not all the timber we fell goes directly on to our trade contacts. We hold quantities for processing into netted woodfuel, supplying both kindling sticks and logs to shops and garages in either seasoned softwood or hardwood.
Our kindling is made using our dedicated kindling machine which can produce a large quantity of material per day. This is netted as it comes out of the machine and stored in a drying shed. We can then deliver this loose by pick up or palletised by courier. The majority of our customers order quantities of both logs and kindling from us which we deliver or palletise in mixed loads.
Our logs are processed into 9”lengths then netted as with the kindling. Most of the nets we produce are of hardwood species including Ash, Beech, Sycamore and Birch.
An alternative to these is softwood including larches and pines. Although these species catch fire easily in the grate they burn faster. For this reason we usually prefer to use this material in our kindling.
These products are felled, processed and sold by ourselves using a local sustainable and renewable timber resource which is often certified as such.
